SB 435 -- EMISSION REQUIREMENTS ON HISTORIC MOTOR VEHICLE

SPONSOR:  Goode (Koller)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Transportation by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill exempts historic vehicles from emission testing.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that historic vehicles are exempt
from the state inspection requirements and are driven very few
miles.  They should also be exempt from emission requirements.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Goode.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
